Texas requires all alcohol servers to complete TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certification within 30 days of employment. Bartenders must be at least 18 years old. The TABC oversees all alcohol licensing and regulation. Serving hours are 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM (midnight on Sundays). Texas has both wet and dry areas, so alcohol availability varies by county.
